Greetings from Saint Stephens Green in Dublin, a beautiful park in the historic city center of Ireland that showcases an original landscape design that debuted in 1880. If you’ve seen the American movie called Leap Year, a charming feel-good romantic comedy, you’ll notice this would have been the exact location where Amy Adams’ and Matthew Goode’s characters filmed some scenes while walking through some parts of Dublin. To say that I’ve fallen in love with Ireland while watching this funny and silly movie would be an understatement. But let me tell you that Ireland wouldn’t be the only thing that’s been making my heart skip a beat this week.

As you can see, the center of attention for this particular story aside from the gorgeous greenery behind me would be this simple yet distinctively stunning case that I’m holding. I’ve recently upgraded my iPhone case which is something I very rarely do. The iPhone cases that I usually like are leather and a bit too expensive for a case that I’ll most likely only be using for a year or two (technology becomes obsolete way too quickly). Running my blog for several years now, I’ve been very particular about the things that I acquire. My husband and I usually just pack a carry-on for weekend to week-long trips so I try not to bring anything that is not utilitarian when it comes to traveling.
Enter Casemade, a brand whose very vision addressed the issue of every meticulous mobile phone user. In point of fact, it is very important for me that my style emanates a sense of timelessness and sophistication even through my mobile case. I like designs that prevail and try to curate a closet that is made to last for the long-term. Truthfully, when I go to the gym or I go out for a quick supper, I don’t need to be carrying my entire house with me. All I really need is my iPhone and credit card but I felt that all the inexpensive iPhone cases out there were made with cheap, poor quality synthetic leather – basically a fashion torment for customers with a distinct taste.
Casemade’s Apple iPhone 6 Plus Wallet Case is crafted out of genuine Italian cowhide leather. Believe me when I say my eye twinkled with glee when I opened my package and saw how soft its leather felt in my hands. The quality is impeccable but time is the true test. And let me tell you, in a matter of a few weeks, I’ve managed to spill water, milk and juice on my brand new case yet somehow it looks exactly the same from the day I received it. It reminds me of how some of my favorite leather bags wore in time – the leather softens ever so sumptuously that makes you love it even more. What I adore about it is how it transitions so well from casual day outs to my Sunday’s best outfits. My phone is snuggly protected from all-weather conditions too. It has that premium look yet it is reasonably priced at 19.90.
As you can see here, I’m completely smitten. It’s Ireland so yes – it just rained. The reason why I still have this look of satisfaction on my face is because at this very moment, I simply cannot believe that my iPhone case, despite being drenched in a very serious kind of summer rain, is still looking good as new. This rare brownish-camel hue is holding up quite exquisitely and I feel that my phone and I are ready for whatever comes our way. Whether it’s a walk in the park or a fancy dinner reservation, trust me, my iPhone case from Casemade is coming with me from now on. Cheers!
