Against the backdrop of a gloriously clear blue sky, we arrived at the alluring Andronikos Hotel’s Lady Finger Restaurant in Mykonos to explore and enjoy their enticing authentic Greek lunch menu. Lady Finger is a casual yet elegant poolside restaurant that exhibits a one-of-a-kind elevated view of Mykonos town and its nearby harbor. There were a good number of guests enjoying the restaurant bar and pool. Light techno and hip hop music were playing which created a fun and lively environment to enjoy lunch in. The weather was perfect for a relaxing lunch by the pool at the Lady Finger.
Minas, Lady Finger’s Food and Beverage Manager, greeted and seated us promptly upon our arrival, as well as presented us the restaurant’s signature lunch dishes. We started our lunch with crisp spring rolls with moussaka filling and some fresh local bread served with olive oil. Authentic Greek olives are so delectable to the taste. I’ve definitely had the best tasting olives of my life here in Greece. The spring rolls were reminiscent of Middle Eastern cuisine. It had a fun crunchy kick with delicious and traditional moussaka flavor and texture.

Our first main course was the Spaghetti with Fresh White Goat Cheese, Tomatoes and Pine Nuts. It certainly had a strong natural goat cheese flavor. Since I love goat cheese, I definitely would recommend this dish. Much like the olives of Greece, the quality of their goat cheese is truly amazing. I would contribute it to the surely natural and organic ingredients here in Greece.
The second main course was the Dorado, a white fish, with grilled vegetables. It came served as a whole fish. Minas came and deboned the fish for us. There is definitely nothing classy about removing those small fish bones while devouring this delightful fare. What a wonderful service they provided us. The Dorado felt very light, oily, and healthy. It was reminiscent of the Asian tilapia in scent, flavor and texture. Our fish was also served with a satisfying olive oil lemon oregano sauce on the side, a palatable combination. The sauce added a wonderful oily consistency and flavor to the fish. The grilled vegetables were somewhat crispy in the outside while being soft and juicy in the inside. It complimented the fish very well.
Picking desserts after a wonderful meal are usually difficult as the choices are plenty. The lunch menu here has four equally priced desserts. One of the desserts was named “Boring Chocolate Fondant with Vanilla Ice Cream.” With a name like that, I don’t think I would be ordering it. That said, we chose two desserts that stood out to us: The Frozen Yogurt Parody and the Semolina Halva with Orange sorbet.
The Frozen Yogurt was quite good served with fresh raspberry and nuts. I do wonder what the parody had to do with it though…The Semolina Halva was something I have never heard of before. I was intrigued of its flavor when it arrived on our table with its unique look. I was certainly curious! Its taste was reminiscent of a lovechild of a very moist cake and a granola bar. The orange sorbet was exactly that, a luscious orange sorbet. If you love tarty desserts, I highly recommend this.
An incredible spot for lunch, the Lady Finger provides a spontaneous vibe and fun atmosphere. The staff here is pleasant and entertaining and their service is superb! Expect to have a lovely and refreshing time. I recommend the Lady Finger at the Andronikos Hotel for brunch when you find yourself one day in this paradise!
