Today, I am spending time at the famed Laguna Beach, one of my favorite spots in Southern California. This is the place where one of the most popular reality tv show of all time was set that starred one of my fashion inspirations, Lauren Conrad. That’s probably why I was so thrilled when she named me Chic of the Week on her website a few months back. See here for the complete story.
Bird Rock, Laguna Beach
Blue is one of my favorite colors. As you can see, I’m dressed top to bottom in this hue. I try to wear this every time I go to the beach simply because I enjoy matching the beautiful ocean. I’ve always been the type of person who tries to go in theme whatever the occasion may be. It just makes life more fun and interesting for me. That way, I am able to look forward to the simple things in life, such as going to the beach.
Blue is such a sensational color. Did you know that its meaning symbolizes the virtues of being trustworthy, dependable, and committed? As the color of the ocean and the sky, blue is perceived as a constant existence in our lives. The shade of blue I am wearing invokes the feeling of being calm and can motivate the body to infuse chemicals that are soothing and relaxing. Additionally, blue is also the least “gender specific” color as both men and women would absolutely look appealing wearing it!
Such as the statement we sometimes say “I feel blue.” While gazing out to the open ocean, I realized that, too many times, people look at the negative side of life. Wouldn’t it be better to change our perspective and try to always look on the positive side of things?

I personally find it is easier to remain positive during the day if I’ve anticipated well for it in the morning. A healthy breakfast, the right clothes, a little bit of make-up and a morning prayer always gets it right for me. Starting my day knowing that I’ve prepared inside out for whatever blessings and challenges life can present to me definitely helps maintain that positive attitude.
