After a year since moving to the U.K., I noticed the weather is among the most talked about.
Who can blame them when the weather forecast isn’t always right. One time I was in London, hail, snow, wind & rain came all at once at the same time. I’ve learned to accept that a day can bring about a profusion of gray skies, wind chills & a hot spell all in a matter of a few hours.

Believe me when I say that since then, every patch of sunshine that I can get is an opportunity to seize. With this in mind, my husband and I are determined to milk every single sunny moment by going out and celebrate the beautiful British towns and villages. We’ve had our first encounter of this area during a road trip we took with our parents in early spring. At first sight of its geography, we knew had to go back. With its golden colored Cotswold stone, the rural landscape here is unique to the area.
The Cotswolds consists of many villages across an area of land that is 20 miles across and 90 miles long. It spans from the eastern edge of Gloucester all the way east towards Oxford. It also spans a few miles south of Stratford-upon-Avon down towards Bath. In one of the quaint rural villages, we found Arlington Row. What I love about The Cotswolds is the overabundance of roses and flourishing buds that I even found a rare orange rose to match my outfit that day. Coral is certainly one of my most favorite hues because it can transition so graciously from spring, summer and even all the way to fall.
England, I feel, is truly one of the most nostalgically attractive places in the world. Its old-world appeal is pleasing to the eye. When the sun is shining, nothing can beat the beauty of the English countryside. As you can see, I’m having a grand time! The best part is – the summertime just started. Here’s to more simple but transcendental milestones reveling in the gift of life!
