7 Reasons to Love Spring in the U.K.:
1. Oh the blooming flowers! Cherry blossoms seem to be everywhere, near and far! And did I mention tulip gardens, rapeseed farms and lavender fields in every direction? They are perfect for a foolproof insta-shot. Less boots, more sandals. Time to bust out those lovely pastels out of the wardrobe!
2. Daylights are longer. Temperatures start to rise. People come out for afternoon picnics in the park. It’s a lovely time to take daily afternoon strolls. Plus – longer and lovelier evenings. Sunsets would occur at 9:30 p.m.!
3. Spring kicks off the festival season. From cheese festivals to beer and wine festivals to dance and folk music festivals to even pork-themed, asparagus and other quirky foodies festival – there is a festival for every single occasion you can possibly think of. It’s an exciting time to travel around the country!
4. Day trips to the coast are the new way to spend the weekend – Devon, St. Ives, Cornwall and Kent to name a few!
5. The great outdoors take center stage. Outdoor workouts become quite popular around this season. Hike, bike, boot camp or stroll – take your pick! Patio season is back too – outdoor winin’, dinin’ and happy hours! Sometimes, all you need is an iced coffee (or tea) – in the balcony!
6. Get ready for increased enthusiasm. People exercise more – therefore, endorphins are everywhere!
7. Shopping local crafts and vintage treasures. From art markets, to vintage markets to farmer’s markets – it’s a great time to find unique pieces to take back home.
Have a happy and brilliant spring!
