I am charmed by this beautiful library I discovered in England. It’s funny how I find myself here when I just finished my finals week in FIDM. I am happy to announce that I’ve finally graduated, perfecting my GPA this quarter and receiving a solid 4.0. I am grateful for the opportunity in meeting many wonderful friends and professors in fashion school and I am excited to move forward and realize my dreams. I certainly learned a great deal and I feel confident that I have achieved my desire of receiving proper training in the fashion industry. I know there is still a lot to learn, the feeling of happiness and accomplishment is wonderfully overwhelming. I express my respect to all graduates out there. That is why I feel so nostalgic seeing all the students here during my visit at the University of Bristol. It is important that one should never stop learning, no matter the age. It was surely harder the second time around, but I feel that the pressure really pushed me to do my best. Hardships truly have a way of making us a better person. I feel much more confident in my plans and I am so excited to share it to the world. In the meantime, please enjoy these photographs as I chronicle my time at this beautiful British library. It is housed at the historical Wills Memorial Building that features this lovely neo gothic style architecture. Truthfully, I can’t believe this landmark is almost a hundred years old! It is the tallest structure in Bristol and is illuminated every night creating a charming evening glow that can be seen at any point in the city. Doubtlessly, it is such a pretty centerpiece at the heart of the biggest city in Southwest England. My weekend here inspired me to frequent the bookstore and start reading novels again. When I was a child, reading books was my favorite pastime. Now that I have time again, I am longing to enjoy my favorite authors and introduce myself to new ones too. The scenery in England is so perfect for it. It could be outside in the sun while under the tree or at my window sitting wrapped in a warm blanket. I undertook a very busy schedule this year and I’ve decided to engage in a less overloaded but focused agenda from now on. Being energetic and vigorous are products of a healthy and balanced lifestyle after all. I intend to function lively as I take on new roles and projects but not at the expense of my health. Life is too beautiful to be spent being exhausted. Taking pleasure in good-looking surroundings and ambience curled up in a good book with a cup or two of cappuccino… ah, I cannot wait!
