Previously, I introduced the beautiful Viceroy Bali with a parade of snapshots that brought back some of my most extraordinary memories spent at this grand resort.
Everyday, I woke up in a luxurious and gorgeous villa. It had a touch of a Balinese ancient ruin palace style, perched in the air with views like no other. Here I am, awake at 7:00 a.m., mango trifle with yogurt and fresh squeezed beetroot juice in hand, catching the views of a sunrise on my terrace by the beautiful Petanu river gorge in cultural Ubud in Bali. This kind of scenery, coming from the west, is really and truly what dreams are made of.
Everyday is another exquisite moment here at the Viceroy Bali. Surely, the fantastic staff definitely has something to do with it. There is something so surreal and sublime about opting to have breakfast in my private suite’s traditional Balinese balé (gazebo).
At the break of dawn, I would order my special egg for the day. One time, I had the Balinese Benedict, which featured poached eggs on yellow rice pancakes topped with Balinese spiced hollandaise sauce and dried Javanese bee. The next day, I opted for an Egg Florentine, which are poached eggs on fried spinach and Paris ham topped with Hollandaise sauce. Both are fabulously tasty and handsome to look at. Believe me when I say that the Viceroy Bali knows you would come here to be pampered therefore they will pamper you in every possible way. Ah what an experience!
Another detail that I found so captivating and lovely is the resort’s iconic and distinctive Balinese scent that is routinely sprayed every so often in my room. This contributed to an even more high-flown and upstanding hotel experience. Every night, I would see a single, vibrant orchid sitting atop my pillow alongside a special bedtime treat.
My deluxe terrace villa inexorably made my stay genuinely unique and authentically Balinese. I had my very own exclusive Balinese balé (gazebo) over the pool that I enjoyed every morning and in the late afternoons.
Marble floors decked my suite all the way to my open bathroom. Further Balinese artwork and woodcarvings decked my marvelous living space never allowing me to forget even for a second that I was in magical and enchanting Bali.
Even for just a few days, I felt like Balinese royalty. With the beguiling valley views, ultra stylish Balinese suites and the noble treatment, Viceroy Bali has a commanding presence in Ubud.
A vivacious yet poised haven for locals and travelers alike, come here to unwind and experience the real meaning of paradise.
