Bratislava is a quaint city perched effortlessly by the Danube River just a couple of hours from Vienna by train. While the capital of Slovakia is not as famous as its neighboring central and eastern European counterparts, it most certainly has its own distinct character and beauty.
I spent a marvelous few days in Bratislava recently and have found it to be charming and alluring. I stayed at the nearby Vienna House Easy Chopin Hotel which is a premier hotel for those that love “bleasure” (business + leisure). A new concept hotel that has quite the millennial aesthetic, I had a very seamless experience at Vienna House Easy Chopin Hotel. The breakfast spread was marvelous — my favorite time in any hotel stay. They featured local fruits and produce, as well as homemade jams which made the morning truly enjoyable. Paired with the perfect cup of cappuccino or two, I reveled in the casual breakfast area of the hotel which doubled as a lounge where I organized my day and did further research on the top things to do in Bratislava’s historic old town. The staff is excellent and first-rate. They make their clients feel happy and well-rested.
As I prepped up to see the legendary Bratislava castle and UFO Bridge and Tower, I couldn’t help but feel very pleased and comfortable just lingering in the hotel’s lobby lounge. The furniture was appealing and looked delightfully modern while still satisfying the cushy feel that makes any seating feel cozy and pleasant. I took out my laptop and did a good couple of hours of productivity before finally venturing off to the captivating metropolis that is Bratislava.
Nothing feels better than experiencing a fascinating and refreshing new scene, new city and new country. And nothing feels more gratifying than coming home to a favorable hotel that further optimizes the warm welcome of a new city. Vienna House Easy Chopin Hotel felt like an amiable home away from home – a place where I can easily and congenially enjoy a new country whilst also having the winning amenities I need to work on my venture from time to time. Combining the needs of someone who loves to indulge in business and pleasure is something that Vienna House Easy Chopin Hotel does exceptionally, all while being conveniently located near the airport and major shopping center.
Bratislava is a fanciful destination for the inquisitive traveler. It is a whimsical town impeccable for those who love the nostalgia of visiting a time-honored city with long-standing history.
