It’s been a while since I last did a fashion-dedicated post. I remember back when I first started blogging, I really intended my website to be an exclusive fashion-only blog that features my developing tastes with the latest styles. However, like many things in life, my blog had an unexpected turn and I found myself evolving into a restaurant critic, hotel reviewer and travel blogger as well. Turning 30 really has a way of shaping you into the person you want to become, somehow – and sometimes, even turning you into the woman you didn’t know you wanted to be. It makes me become aware that there is certainly something sincerely fascinating about growing up. My look today is fairly simple. I guess you can say that my “daily uniform” consists a lot of blacks and whites and, if weather permits, short skirts and high heels. Although its been a few months now since my big move from America to Europe, I feel that in my heart, if I can, I would always try to embody in my style the California girl in me. Much like in Los Angeles, the days here are starting to get shorter. But unlike Los Angeles, it is really starting to rain more often. I am prepping for a trip this weekend to Amsterdam as a last tribute to summer. Aside from the trip, I am also bracing myself up for my last three weeks in fashion school as I will soon be a graduate of one of the best schools, Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising. It’s been a hard, challenging yet a wonderful and phenomenal journey so far. I truly miss all the friends I’ve made during my time in FIDM. Blogging has definitely been a way for me to free some academic pressures and continue to contribute to my society and the community while being a full-time student again (having a previous bachelor’s degree in communication). I hope you will all continue to support my future endeavors as I promise all of you that this is only the beginning. For all those who have been following my blogging adventures from the start, I would like to express my honest and genuine thanks for your continued support. Your positive words keep me going especially on days when inspiration is not so easy to pursue. Lovely afternoon walks are firmly a part of my daily agenda here – something I will surely miss when I go back in America. Afternoons like these have made me conscious that amidst our busy days, it’s also nice to give time to collect ourselves, loosen up and ease off on the small burdens and embrace our personal journey. England has been a place that has really been comforting and therapeutic and this is what a quintessential day is like for me here – simple, happy and filled with contentment.
